VARIETY MAGAZINE - STAFF WRITER INTERNSHIP
June 2021 - Jan 2022
Roles included in depth journalistic writing including breaking news, television and film writing, and conducting exclusive Variety Magazine interviews. Every week consisted of taking charge of the TV and film roundup, which included tackling series premieres, season premieres/finales, award show announcements and casting. Interviews consisted of a plethora of red carpet premiers speaking to actors and talent about upcoming work, along with zoom interviews that were conducted. Every Thursday included going to the Variety Studio as camera operator number 3 to help tape Variety's "The Take" starring Elizabeth Wagmeister and Clayton Davis.

Working for my alma mater at the University of Nebraska - Lincoln, journalism work consisted of freelancing for the Husker Magazine under the tuteledge of Kirstin Wilder, in which I provided in depth writing and interviews regarding alumni of the university and what they are up to since leaving UNL.
SEWARD INDEPENDENT - WRITER/INTERNSHIP

Journalistic writing for the Seward Independent, a print publication based in Seward, NE. A University of Nebraska - Lincoln based internship, responsibilities included tackling local news such as local politics, businesses and community projects. Roles also included editing and newspaper layout.
THE MILL COFFEE HOUSE - BARISTA

As a barista, roles included prepping bakery dishes and coffee for the morning, excellent customer service skills, and memorizing the entire menu proficiently. Closing up tasks included picking up after customers, cleaning out pots and coffee trays, along with closing up and counting money.
